Power of Literature Book Club

The Museum now has it's own regular book club talks, with Joan Binder and other guest speakers joining us throughout 2020 to look at a wide range of books and provide entertaining & interesting talks. We held 3 talks in 2019 with a very positive response from those who attended. Here are our 2020 dates to look out for:

Monday 23rd February - 10:30am - 12:30pm - Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks - Book Here

Monday 23rd March - 10:30am - 12:30pm - Little Women by Louisa May Alcott - Book Here

Monday 11th May - 10:30am - 12:30pm - Spies by Michael Frayn - Book Here

Monday 20th July - 10:30am - 12:30pm - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte - Book Here

Monday 21st September - 10:30am - 12:30pm - Vanity Fair by Willam Makepeace Thackery - Book Here

Joan Binder and guest speakers will introduce the book, looking at themes and composition, talk about the period in which it is set and how it relates to contemporary writings.

It's informal and informative, no previous knowledge of the book is neccessary, so if you like books and enjoy reading come along and give it a try.

Price £5 per person, per session
